Scribbist

Terms of Use

Last updated: 18 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the Scribbist app. By using it you agree to them.

The app

Scribbist is a one-time purchase from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Your licence to use it comes from that store and follows its standard terms (Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, or the Google Play Terms of Service). Refunds are handled by the store you bought from.

Check important answers

Scribbist reads handwriting, and handwriting can be misread. The app shows exactly what it read so you can check it, but you are responsible for checking any result that matters, such as money, medicine doses, construction measurements, schoolwork or exams. Scribbist is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Your content

What you write stays on your device and belongs to you. See the Privacy Policy.

Fair use

Don't copy, resell or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Scribbist is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by a misread or wrong result. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
